I was really nervous at first, but he spoke perfect English and explained everything very clearly and in detail, which made me feel safe and understood. Even though I had only booked a consultation, he started my root canal treatment immediately. He really took care of me and handled everything professionally. Thank you, Dr. Winfried Gärtner. „I had some doubts about a treatment plan which my dentist in Santa Monica, California proposed a few weeks ago. So I decided to get a consultation from an experienced German dentist while visiting Germany and saw the owner of this very nice and modern dental office, Dr. Winfried Gärtner himself. As it turns he had a year of experience at the Eastman Dental Center in Rochester, NY after finishing dental school and training in Germany. By the time he saw me he had reviewed my x-rays and the background details. He took all the time needed to explain everything, pointed out the details he saw and really laid out the pros and cons of the different approaches that he saw as options for my situation. Unlike dentists in the US he did not rush and genuinely tried his best… and succeeded to make sure I fully understand the somewhat tricky situation so I could discuss with my dentist in Santa Monica before undergoing treatment. If it had not been for the fact that two days later I was embarking on a long trip to East Africa, I would have considered treatment by Dr. Gärtner … even though my US insurance would not have covered anything. Dr. Gärtner knows his stuff and under different circumstances I would not have hesitated getting treatment by him in Würzburg. Also noteworthy is mentioning the extremely friendly and helpful office staff. It was palpable that his staff like working there. The tone is set at the top and the tone Dr. Gärtner sets makes you smile even if a root canal is what is needed. FIVE STARS PUT OF FIVE!“
